(A Slice of Summertime, scanned from Wilton 2008 Yearbook page 18) I've been meaning to make this watermelon cake by Wilton all summer.
I may play around and try this uncut watermelon version or a little watermelon cupcake!
Betty Crocker even has her own version.
What do you think? Should I? If so, which version?

The Betty Crocker one is lame, the others are totally cute. Maybe I'll do the cupcakes for Addy's 1st Birthday party! Thanks for the idea!
I like the Wilton one the best. It looks delicious!
I thought about making this once, too, but it calls for fondant (if I remember correctly) and since I haven't taken that class or worked with it before (and think it tastes like stale marshmellows) I'll probably hold off for a while. BUT, if you find another version or a way to do it without fondant, let me know! :)
