One-fourth cup of flour. That's all these brownies called for...goodness! It was my lucky day. Seriously, I'm running low on flour (and sugar)...during my penny pinching month so the baking Gods were kind to me with this recipe.
I'm also in a sort of chocolate craving run. (Which is not normal) Don't get me wrong I love chocolate but it's not my go-to sweet or flavor. For example, I always choose vanilla ice cream over chocolate.
I made a few adjustments to the recipe to cater to my tastes. I exchanged the coffee for Perro and did not add any nuts. Result: fabulous. They cooked perfectly. (Which I was nervous about because of the P&Q this week) They were also gorgeous. They had that paper thin top that was absolutely shiny. I'd make this again...and probably will later this month seeing how I have all the ingredients on hand! You can snag the recipe on Lisa's blog: Surviving Oz. Though she's not a member of the group, she won the new logo contest! Check it out on my sidebar! Lastly, don't forget to check out the Tuesdays with Dorie blogroll to see the other brownies. YUM!
Next week: Brioche Plum Tart
